Signal: Free private messaging for iOS and Android. Considered the industry standard. You can send and receive text messages, photos, audio, and more. You can also make encrypted phone calls.
WhatsApp: WhatsApp is a free private messaging solution for iOS, Android, and the web. You can send and receive text messages, photos, documents, audio, and more. You can also make encrypted phone calls. They recently updated their security using the Signal protocol. A lot of people already use WhatsApp and you can connect to other users using their phone number.
Threema: Very secure text and voice messages for iOS and Android. Uses QR codes to verify identity. Not free.
AES Crypt: An encrypted AES file can be enclosed using your current email. You will need to arrange a password with us to unlock the AES file. AES Crypt is considered more secure than .zip encryption.
Encrypted .ZIP File: An encrypted .ZIP file can be enclosed using your current email. You will need to arrange a password with us to unlock the .ZIP file. 7-Zip is preferred for Windows and Linux.
PGP: Encrypt and receive encrypted messages using your current e-mail address.
